After an eighteen month gestational period, the paper child has been born at last. Energetically, producing this book had similarities to pregnancy - nurturing this being, eagerly anticipating its arrival, and periodically, feeling impatient that it was not coming soon enough. Then, when the time was right, ushering this creation into the universe and celebrating its existence.
Birthing this creative project was truly a team affair. The strong and frequent messages from spirit guided the perfect individuals to step up to the task long before any of us (the writer, editor, designer, and printer) recognized that a book needed to be created. Together, we have succeeded. Through this book, a broader audience will be exposed to many comforting messages including "Death is not the end" and "Love is eternal". I feel deep gratitude from the invisible and hear their sighs of relief.

Road Trip
Pointed the car due south and set out on a road trip over the line. No long list of things to see or do. Time to just be. Long overdue R & R. Our last excursion to the Oregon Coast took place exactly twenty six years ago. Two very young daughters, four months pregnant with our son. The space bookended by these two visits embodied his time here with us. Four months either side. Intriguing.

Goodbye Sweet Jack
She was so excited when she shared her news with me that she was pregnant, and a couple of hours later, I had a vision of her carrying a baby in her arms swaddled in a blue blanket wearing a blue toque on his head. It would be a boy! Motherhood was something she could hardly wait to embark on. It was something I too had been eagerly awaiting, to become a grandmother, marking yet another stage in my life. After she and her husband saw that tiny heartbeat on an ultrasound at two months, it was a devastating disappointment a month later to find that it was no longer beating. What made you choose to leave so soon? We already loved you, and you had even sent me a name, Jack. Deep down I understand that your soul was experiencing exactly what it needed, reincarnating for that brief time in your mother's womb and then leaving to continue on your path. However, the sadness for not having been able to know you lingers. Goodbye sweet Jack.
